The Royal 34 design dates from 1965 with 800 boats built to the design and over 200 vessels imported into the UK from Swedish boat builders Storebro Bruks AB, who are renowned for their high standard construction and finish.
SIR EDWARD (formerly RONBA) was traditionally built in African Mahogany, later boats being a combination of wood and GRP and from 1978 GRP moulded until production ceased in 1988. Built in 1959 by EC Jones. Length 48ft x 14.6ft and has a Lister Blackstone air start engine. There is also an original Jebus which went behind the tug to make a bow on the Tom Puddings creating less resistance in the water when the Tom Puddings were being towed.
